Grades 7, 8 and 9

International Middle Years Programme
The Middle Years provide the foundation for success for IGCSE and A Level and indeed life after school. The curriculum is based on the concepts of Project Based and Experiential Learning, inspired by Maria Montessori’s Erdkinder ideals but assessed using clear academic Learning Objectives and Success Criteria.

*English literature is required in Grade 10 but can be discontinued in Grade 11 after a discussion with the tutor.

A minimum “C” grade for IGCSE Mathematics is required if a student wishes to offer AS Level Business for Matric Exemption. A minimum of 3 students for a subject is required to offer the subject at AS Level

A Levels (Grade 13 / Post Matric)

A Levels are offered for UK and European University Entrance Requirements on request.

*A minimum of 3 students for a subject is required to offer the subject at A Level

*Candidates prepare for the May / June Examination Session

Notes:

  • English First Language, English Literature and MFL option are compulsory at IGCSE Level.
  • IGCSE MFL may be offered for University entrance if passed with a C symbol.
  • IGCSE Mathematics at a minimum C grade is required for AS Business
  • Students who wish to take AS Level Physics / Chemistry should be able to cope with AS Level Mathematics for Matric.
